hello and welcome to my pool website. on this website you will find the best in coverage, information, rules, links and possibly one or two pool games. what is the mosconi cup I hear you cry?
The Mosconi Cup is a game of 9-ball pool between the USA and Europe, named after the late great Willie Mosconi, held in England. It's a race to 12 games, and it is very much a team effort. Previous legends to compete in this tournament include Steve 'the
nugget' Davis, Earl 'the pearl' Strickland, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Johnny Archer. The tournament starts in mid December and it lasts for 4 days, it has been going since 1994, and it is fair to say that America is the dominant force of the competition thus far. As they have won it every year since 1994 apart from 1995 when Jimmy White lead Europe to victory.
After a very poor performance by the European team in 1999, hopefully the new millennium
will mark new European reign on the tournament, but I'm not biased of course.
